Snickers Protein Shake

First of all. Smoothies are one of my favorite go-tos.

Secondly. I am obsessed with this shake! Turning a candy bar into a healthy shake? Why not!?

I don’t know what it is, but the combination of chocolate and peanut butter always excites me. Good ol' classic!

I admit it. Sometimes, when it comes to cooking, I can be a total lazy bum. On some days, I don’t have hours to stand in the kitchen, jam to my favorite songs while I cook something. Sometimes, I love my meals to be right in front of me pronto! Especially when my stomach is starting to scream in hunger. Don’t get me wrong. I love being in my kitchen for hours cooking while dancing to my favorite songs. But also, most of the times, I don’t really plan on what to have for my meals until the hunger starts creeping up. That’s why shakes are always one of my go-tos. They’re easy and quick to whip up.

Plus, with the summer’s heat blasting up to the 90s and the post-workout sweat, I think a glass of goooood colllllld shake is appropriate, with a chocolatey sweetness and salty peanut buttery goodness. It’s also amazing for a pre-workout shake – a good amount protein and a boost of energy from my favorite superfood, maca.

For a creamier shake, you can always sub the ice cubes with frozen fruits. But I do like the consistency as it is. It’s not high in carbs, yet fills me up pretty well, thanks to the healthy fats and protein!
